Proses Peer Review

All manuscripts submitted to Media Kesehatan: Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and relevance of the published work. Manuscripts that do not meet these basic criteria may be returned to the authors for revision or declined before entering the peer-review stage.

Eligible manuscripts are assigned to at least two independent reviewers with expertise relevant to the subject area of the submission. Reviewers are selected based on their academic qualifications, research experience, publication record, and professional expertise in fields related to public health, community service, nutrition, functional foods, food science and technology, nursing, midwifery, environmental health, or other relevant health disciplines.

Reviewers evaluate manuscripts according to the following criteria:

* Relevance to the journal's aims and scope.
* Originality and significance of the community service program.
* Scientific and methodological soundness.
* Clarity of objectives, methods, implementation, and outcomes.
* Practical contribution to community health and empowerment.
* Quality of data presentation, analysis, and discussion.
* Organization, language, and overall readability.
* Compliance with ethical standards and applicable reporting guidelines.

Reviewers are generally requested to complete their evaluation within two to four weeks after accepting the review invitation. When necessary, the editorial office may invite additional reviewers if further expert opinion is required or if reviewer recommendations differ substantially.

Based on the reviewers' comments and recommendations, the Editor-in-Chief or the assigned Section Editor will make one of the following editorial decisions:

* Accept without revision.
* Accept with minor revisions.
* Reconsider after major revisions.
* Reject.

Authors are expected to revise their manuscripts in response to reviewers' comments and submit a detailed response explaining how each comment has been addressed. Revised manuscripts may be returned to the original reviewers for further evaluation when necessary.

The journal maintains a reviewer database consisting of qualified researchers, academics, and professionals from universities, research institutions, healthcare organizations, and other relevant institutions. New reviewers are recruited based on their academic expertise, publication history, professional experience, and demonstrated commitment to maintaining high standards of scholarly review. All reviewers are expected to disclose any potential conflicts of interest and to treat submitted manuscripts as confidential documents.
